Catch up Couples session in a world ran by covid | Newcastle Upon Tyne

Throughout my six years as a wedding photographer, I’ve met some lovely couples. It’s part of the reason I love my job. I mean, I get to meet new people all the time, be a part of one of the biggest days of their lives and deliver photo’s they will show their families for years to come.

I got the opportunity to do a couples session for one of the very first couples to book me as their photographer six years ago. I was still very new to the industry and they took a shot with me and I’ve always been ever so thankful. It’s now been just over five years since their wedding and a lot has changed for all of us. Being able to reconnect with Jane & Nev and see their love as strong as the day I met them was such a pleasure. We hung out, put the world to rights and ate Taco Bell.

At a time when COVID is dictating our lives and weddings feel like their sinking, this was a breath of fresh air. To be able to do my job and spend it with such a kind couple really did feel like I’d rose to the surface and took a huge gasp of air. Love isn’t cancelled folks, and Jane & Nev continue to show that five years later.

If you’re wondering when this will end or when you’ll get to have your dream wedding, I understand. I do. You will get your dream wedding. Just hold on, take time to make a decision and know your suppliers are with you 100% of the way. It’ll be worth the wait.
