Middleton Lodge Wedding at The Fig House

This was the first time I'd been to The Fig House to capture a Middleton Lodge Wedding. I've been to some gorgeous wedding venues in my past 5 years as a wedding photographer, but this is the first place that's made me mouth "holy sh*t!" as I walked in. It's stunning, and speaking to Chris' gran later in the day, she seemed to agree; telling me she'd had a few moments to herself wandering around the gardens and loving every second. I don't blame her, I did the same.

Jess & Chris styled their Middleton Lodge Wedding beautifully, and they certainly put their personality on this place. They're a seriously fun couple too, it was awesome being a part of their day.

I'll hand it over to Jess to tell you about how they met:

"We met when I (Jessica) was 16 and Chris was 17. We were both working at ASDA part-time! Chris was a fish-monger and I worked on the fresh meat aisle! Chris asked me on a date and it went from there. We went to the cinema to watch Mamma Mia and the rest is history. Chris is a graphic designer and I am a teacher. Chris did the cutest proposal. He hid my engagement ring in a bauble and hung it on the Christmas tree. When I had opened all of my presents on Christmas morning he told me that I had one more present to find and that it was hidden in the tree. We adore visiting the Lake District and our table names are special places in the Lakes and each has a little personal story. We love exploring antique shops hence why we have an old suitcase as a place to put the cards."
